Crosslinkers have a considerable influence on the properties of a sealant or an adhesive. They do not only determine its reactivity (skin over time, pot life time, open time, green strength, curing speed) and mechanical properties, but also its adhesion profile, ageing behaviour etc.

Evonik Hanse GmbH offers high performance crosslinkers for moisture curing, neutral silicone sealants. In contrast to acetic or basic systems these feature a neutral crosslinking mechanism, and are used even for more sensitive surfaces, such as marble or, to a certain extent, on metals.

For high sensible areas, e.g. for electronics, the neutral crosslinker K 10 may be the product of choice, giving off acetone as only by-product.
